two things...
1. i got the job! i'm beyond ecstatic and also a bit terrified. its a big job and its basically my dream job (and when i say dream, basically i've been wanting this job since like the 4th grade!) and i can't believe that i've reached this stage in my life - i mean, i feel like there is no question in my mind, you have to be a grown up to have this job. and so i guess that makes me a grown up. and that makes me sweat. a lot. as of march 16th i will be the manager of camp and family programs at the jcc in san francisco. that's right, i run a camp! how freaking amazing is that?! and it's my camp! they may as well call it CAMP LBN!!! there are about 275 kids in camp at a time, serving about 800+ kids a summer...holy hell (scratch, scratch, scratch). as CURLY said, when i told her i got the job, you can do this, you've been a camp director your entire life, now you will just get paid for it!...more later i'm sure. but for now...yay camp! there's family programming too...but no one is really sure what that looks like, which i guess is part of the job...yay!
i also made chocolate souffle but we were too full so we're saving that for tonight. is it okay to keep souffle for 24 hours uncooked in the fridge? i'm going with yes. stop me if there is concern for our health and safety.
so yeah, lots to report from san fran. we're taking it slow today...its raining and i haven't yet decided if i'm going to venture out to hit the gym - i'm counting down the days until i get to call the jcc gym home!
