last night i met my new friend (yay) for dinner and a movie. i know - this is a big deal - and i was/am way excited but i'm trying to play it cool as to not sound too much like i have no friends. i have tons of friends, they just happen to not live in the same city or state as me. whatevs. anyway JONES (making her blog debut) and i met downtown, ate fancy food court food and then headed into a theater (with stadium seating) to see AUSTRALIA.
i, personally, found the movie thoroughly enjoyable. in all honesty, i wasn't sure about how i would feel about the film itself (3 hours...eek!), really i was just thrilled to have real plans, but not only was the film gorgeous (HUGH JACKMAN - ME-OW!) but i didn't find myself yawning or checking my watch....we all know i have a tendency to fall asleep when watching a 90 minute movie on my couch so i found this to be quite an accomplishment. i did find myself with a lot of questions about the history on which the movie is based and will spend the next few hours, before work, fulfilling my google needs.
i arrived home from my girl's night out only to discover that a certain man who i live, with who shall remain nameless (achem) had decided to have a TITO's enchilada for dinner - without me - after i had gone to the grocery store and fully stocked our kitchen with other, more appropriate diner options. it was ALWAYS my understanding that these treasured enchiladas were to be reserved for special occasions and never to consumed on a whim, especially ALONE, no matter how many backup enchiladas are currently safely collecting in the freezer (current count: 19).
